Recipe Day: Chickpea Snacks

Do you love snacking on peanuts? Want something similar but lower in calories and better for your health?

Try these great Chickpea snacks as a substitute for nuts and trail mix!

Chickpea Snacks


  • 2 cans (540ml) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin, ground
  • ½ tsp tumeric, ground
  • ½ tsp coriander, ground
  • ½ tsp chilli powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder


  1. Preheat oven to 400 F.
  2. In large bowl, toss chickpeas with oil and spices. Spread onto large baking sheets in a single layer.
  3. Bake at 400 F, shaking a few times during baking, for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Chickpeas will appear golden brown. Remove and let cool.
