My husband and I are enjoying our holidays driving down to California. We just love the west coast and the beautiful beaches. We spent last night in Grants Pass, Oregon. We were amazed at the fitness facility there – called Club Northwest. Whenever we travel we look for fitness facilities to ensure we keep up our “healthy lifestyle” routine. Club Northwest is Southern Oregon’s premier destination for health, fitness and fun. It had everything there – pool, tennis, weights, classes, nutrition services, basketball court and much more. I was impressed with all the various ages – from kids to seniors. We woke up and passed on the continental breakfast at our hotel. When you are trying to eat healthy - I definitely recommend to SKIP the high glycemic waffles, fruit loops and white toast! I grabbed an apple and luckily there were some hard boiled eggs... so that was a good choice.
Travelling is so enjoyable when you make healthy food and fitness choices along the way – you feel so much better and have the energy to really maximize your vacation.
For supper we had lobster, crab and corn! We skipped the fries and high fat appies.. and had a long walk back to our hotel. Tomorrow off to Carmel. Keep you posted.
